Slow Day

Tad slept super well last night. He woke up with not much to do, so he decided to give his tow truck a 1 across and do some towing. He got a lot of Mosley's deliveries, which paid for his 1 across and then some. He did briefly get his truck stuck on his only impound of the night, but he managed to unstick it. Take THAT, video game, says I. He still has an absurdly low tow rep for how much he's towed. I don't even particularly care about rep so long as I have the repair kits, but how much did people have to grind to unlock those lockpicks? Sheesh!

I'm going to have to really have him figure out how to be a mechanic soon. He's somewhere in between the dude he checks in with not being able to teach him anymore on the mechanic panel and being able to unlock that other category I don't remember off the top of my head. Efficiency? Something something. Tad's going to need to ask someone who's been doing mechanic work what all he can actually do. He could probably be making some decent money via lemon list.

He sent a few texts back and forth to Saini today. All good-natured. Not a lot of mope.

Reina, of all people, started texted Tad out of the blue. Just a check in. It was pleasant enough. I have no idea what that's about and neither does Tad. He's a little suspicious because he knows she hangs out with the clowns.

In fact, he saw Twinkles many many times today. Tad didn't say anything because he's never really met Twinkles. What's he supposed to say? "I'm trying not to stalk your friend, nice to meet you?" He also sees Sneaky around quite a bit. Though Tad knows him as that skeleton clown guy. He's getting a little paranoid that he's being watched, only they seem to be oblivious to him. He'll keep an eye out over the next few days. If it seems like they're watching him, he'd rather talk to them than try to run.

He wants Tessa to feel safe. If they're protecting her, he wants them to know he won't hold it against them if... Well he doesn't know. He doesn't think Tessa wants him dead. But he also is acknowledging that he knows nothing about her.

Speaking of Tessa, she's now just CR in his phone. Since he couldn't delete the texts anyway, he figured he'd at least know if it's her calling by adding her back. He didn't even hover over her number today. Though he did see her scout behind the apartments and repaired it to 100%. He sort of hopes she doesn't notice. He kept himself from doing the same thing with the clown van also sitting there.

Aside from still being drawn to her but now having the willpower to (mostly) steer clear, Tad is starting to parse through the texts to try to figure out how he should be communicating with her if she ever allows it again. He feels super bad that he panicked and texted her yesterday. He's determined not to let it happen again.
