Aftermath of a call, part 2

I didn't have a lot of time to get into things when I posted about the call before. I wanted to break some things down though, specifically about the handler situation and how the call has affected Tad. However, I think it might be better coming from Tad, himself. So now y'all get to see what he wrote in a special notebook he has in his apartment. He went to sleep right after the talk, but woke up again once I had my notes in order so he could process the new directives he received and go back to sleep.

A note about directives: They have to be vocal. Tad instinctively recognizes his new handler (on sight). But if Tessa never gave him a vocal command in a no-nonsense tone, it would have never clicked with him that she was his new handler and that's what his fixation on her was.

Why Tessa? Tad's grandma never bothered setting off switches in Tad or his father. She wasn't particularly concerned about whether or not they would have a hard time being without a handler after she died. His grandmother wasn't a good person. At the moment, it breaks Tad more each day he is without a handler. The new handler is chosen at random from people around him (via my roll). This is not programmed. It's Tad's "base self" protecting him from total self-destruction by assigning someone. Tad has had three handlers now: his grandmother, his father (which was complicated by the fact that Tad was also his handler), and now Tessa.

Tessa, unfortunately, does not have experience being a handler, which means she won't be as careful with her words as she needs to be until she understands the affect they will have on Tad.  

Now for what was written in the notebook. These are only relevant directives to that night. He doesn't need to process anything that wasn't triggered by the events of the day.

Avoid: Jonathan, Ursula, people Ursula hangs out with
Potentially avoid: Nu Epsilon
   Conditions: Discover proof that they're a cult. Inform Sneaky.
Inform:
   of self - nobody
      Exception: Handler - if asked
   of warnings - Sneaky: approved proxy
   of questions - Sneaky: approved proxy
       If question is sensitive, inform Sneaky there is a question he may not know. Handler may contact.
I may be forthcoming with Sneaky, but should be careful to avoid speaking about self beyond surface.
Do not change dynamic with Jonathan. He is not a friend.

Previous directive changes:
Faulty directive of stay close to handler reinterpreted due to handler's wishes. 
   Reinterpretation: Handler will find you if you're required for something. Directive updated. Stay aware of handler. Await
      instructions.
Broken directive of hide emotions reinforced with directive to stop informing of self.
   Reset to: Jovial, Hard-working, Well-adjusted, Insightful-yet-stupid. React with surface. Only inform of things or react in ways
      that do not make vulnerable. Lie when needed.
   Exception: Handler

Previous directives still in place:
Wait for directives. Take directives only from handler.
Act immediately on hurt or kill commands.
For other directives, there must be writing and sleep to process or change directive. This avoids harm to weapon.
No commands to hurt handler may be followed unless trigger words NULL for that condition are stated by handler. This may break conditioning. Again, weapon may never hurt handler intentionally without trigger words NULL stated by handler. Trigger words NULL are one-use. Trigger words not found. Handler will need to recondition, if required. 
Only speak about conditioning with handler.
Non-violent directives processed via writing. Process silently.  Never read aloud. Do not keep on person.
Tell no one how to reprogram handler assignment. Exception: None. Handler must use trigger word D to reset exception.

Broken Directives:
Read all written communication out loud if not from handler or proxy.
Keep no secrets from handler.
